People who know exactly what they want.
What is your greatest achievement?
Fatherhood. Nothing else really compares.
Do you have any weaknesses?
I am not patient.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Cartagena, a beautiful city on the Colombian Caribbean. You step into the old city and it's like entering a different world.
What is the best book you ever read?
All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren.
What is your goal in life?
It sounds bad, but I don't have one. I don't spend much time looking forward or backward. Life is now.
About Eli Winkler
Eli Winkler is currently the Senior Vice President of Growth and Development at Cooper University Health Care, where he oversees the Marketing, Sales, Strategic Planning, Business Development, and Real Estate functions. He also is the Executive Director of the Cooper Heart Institute. Eli was recently named “Top 40 under 40” by NJ Biz magazine. Prior to joining Cooper, Eli worked for the global consulting firm of McKinsey & Company in the Latin American division, mainly within the oil & gas sector. He was also a previously a diplomat with the U.S. State Department, during which time he worked primarily on political and economic affairs at the U.S. Embassies in China and Colombia. Eli has an MBA from Harvard, a Master’s Degree in American Studies from William & Mary, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern. He speaks fluent Spanish and conversational Mandarin. Eli resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Zuly, and daughter, Isabella.
