Working on those policies that hold the powerful accountable in order to protect the many

I wish foreign languages came more easily to me.

To celebrate the great diversity that surrounds us all, to always be willing to learn something new, and to contribute to leaving the world a better place than I inherited
About Tyson Slocum
Tyson is the Director of Public Citizen's Energy Program, where he promotes stronger regulation of energy markets and greater public investments in clean, sustainable energy to help protect consumers and combat global warming. Tyson researches the influence of energy company special interests on our political system and works to promote corporate and government accountability. He frequently presents his findings in testimony before the U.S. Congress and appears regularly in television, print, and radio media, ranging from Comedy Central's The Colbert Report to PBS's The Newshour with Jim Lehrer to Fox's The O'Reilly Factor. Prior to joining Public Citizen in 2000, Tyson was a policy analyst at Citizens for Tax Justice. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and grew up in Rhode Island.
