In 2015, the Young Leaders Conference, sponsored by Credit Suisse and Swiss International Air Lines, was held for the sixth time in Zurich. The classes of 1997, 2000, 2002, 2012, 2013, and 2017 also enjoyed spending a week together in Switzerland’s largest city and global center of finance and banking.

The class of 2015 included Swiss Advisory Council member Christoph Ulrich, head of human resources for Swiss International Air Lines; Dr. Jerome Adams, the 20th Surgeon General of the United States; The Honorable Kate Klunk, member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 169th District; Cristóbal Alex, senior advisor for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign; Christoph Burckhardt, attorney at law and scholar at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich; The Honorable Chris Larson, member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 7th District; Michael Maitland, chief of staff for Representative Donald Norcross (YL 2006); Daniel Garza, executive director of The LIBRE Initiative; Jon DeWitte, chief of staff for Representative Bill Huizenga (YL 2009); Richard Fowler, TV news contributor and radio host of The Richard Fowler Show; and Laura Curtis, reporter for Bloomberg’s First Word FX.
The class also included social entrepreneur David Simnick, CEO and co-founder of SoapBox; Jonas Theiler, senior associate at Miller Investment Management; Catherine Graf, COO of Insurance Linked Strategies at Credit Suisse; Frank Sensenbrenner, quantitative risk manager at U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission; Patrick Gleason, vice president of state affairs at Americans for Tax Reform; Amie Stepanovich, executive director of Silicon Flatirons Center at the University of Colorado Boulder; Niraj Chokshi, reporter at The New York Times focused on digital enterprise and breaking news; Ivan Breiter, director of South East Asia for Switzerland Tourism; Sasha Orloff, a serial entrepreneur based in San Francisco; Laura McNeal, legal and policy adviser for the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute at Harvard Law School and law professor at the University of Louisville; and Conrad Lucas, chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party.
