Class of 1991

The second Young Leaders Conference was one of the two conferences to be based in two locations, Thun and Vevey. Thirty-three participants, some of whom had been nominated by then-Senators Al Gore, Ted Kennedy, and Connie Mack, then-Governor of California, Pete Wilson, and Ohio, George Voinovich, as well as political and economic luminaries Steve Forbes and David Gergen, met in Switzerland for ten days. Alumni remembered "picture perfect" weather. To date, it was the longest conference (the standard conference lasting a week).
