On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Young Leaders Conference, Charlie Gerow (YL '98) and other former participants formed the Alumni Council of the American Swiss Foundation, devoted to hosting and supporting events in furtherance of the mission of the American Swiss Foundation to promote better understanding between leaders of both countries.

Two alumni of the first Class of 1990, Dr. Rolf Doerig of Switzerland and Steven Hoch of the U.S., lent their name to a fundraising drive aimed at increasing funding for alumni programs of the Foundation, including the Annual Dinner and reunions in the U.S. and Switzerland.
