The Select USA Summit, the pre-eminent conference on foreign direct investment in the USA, took place in Washington on March 23rd and 24th. About 2800 people participated.

The Swiss delegation of 40 companies was one of the largest present, demonstrating the great interest of Swiss firms to start or continue investing in the USA.

Personal appearances were made by by President Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, Secretary of the Treasury Jack Lew, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez and Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx.

Secretary Kerry gave a speech in which he prominently mentioned Switzerland and Swiss companies – and Ambassador Suzi LeVine, the US Ambassador to Switzerland - on three occasions. President Obama also mentioned Switzerland and the Swiss company Reha in his speech.
